Meanderings for the Soul

Author and artist Anita Bunn, started her creative path, thirty years ago when she trekked to America, delving into fine art, exhibiting as a professional artist for many years. On her return to South Africa, she broadened her creative endeavours, to include writing gratuitously, quirky stories in the local community paper, Bolander. Never taking this seriously, she amassed a collection of truly funny and unique tales of her extraordinary life on a farm, while raising her son solo.

Completely self-taught, her narration is fresh, funny and brutally honest. She lives with her partner, Pellet Gun Pete, in a small cottage, surrounded by a riotous animal kingdom. She started writing in earnest, creating colour illustrations to accompany her memoir, Ramblings of a Life in Africa and followed with five children’s books, all at an unstoppable pace.
